Upper MCO

A great shot of the upper part of MCO. MCO Pass is the low col to the left of the small peak in the background. Beyond the pass is the SX3 drainage. The helicopter flight path passes the larger peak to the right. A similar view from a little further away.

The month has been wet, wet, wet. There have been few sunny days and the rain has slowed things down a bit.

White Wines of Chatter Creek - Past and Present

White Wines
Tinhorn Creek Oliver, BC, Canada
      Chardonnay 2003

Kettle Valley Naramata, BC, Canada
      Pinot Gris 2001
      Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc 2001
This wine comes from hand picked sauvignon blanc and
semillion of October 2002. Well balanced and crisp with a fresh
            fruit flavour.
      Chardonnay Reserved 2001
“A must try. The grapes were crushed and left on the skins to
cold soak for 3 days prior to being pressed off. This wine is not
oaky and is a must try if you like a good chardonnay.”

Chateau St Jean Sonoma, CA, USA
      Fumé Blanc 2001
“Expect pleasant mineral, grapefruit rind, melon and fresh hay
aromas. Round and fresh with delicate flavours of melon, butter,
grapefruit with a chalky mineral aftertaste.
Tasty grapefruit/orange finish with firm acidity and fine
            balance. Enjoyable, graceful wine”.

Trimbach Alsace, France
       Pinot Gris Reserve 2000
This Pinot Gris Reserve has a perfect balance of fruit, acidity,
and spice. It is a full-bodied wine made in a very ripe and
harmonious style. Slightly tropical, ripe pear, peaches, hints
of almond. Extremely versatile at the dinner table, serve with an
array of seafood, poultry and/or white meat dishes”.
